Mental Health and Wellness

Addressing the men's mental health crisis

Over the past decade awareness of men's mental health has grown significantly, but we need to do more.

Our Men's Mental Health Program gives those who identify as men an opportunity to get some physical activity and socialization while discussing their mental health in a safe and supportive environment with their peers.

Sessions are 1.5 hours. The first half of the session is led by a B-license coach (all skill levels welcome!) who will run through a few warm-up drills then lead a scrimmage. The second half of the session consists of an organic group discussion about mental health with a mental health professional.

Participation is entirely voluntary! You can contribute to the discussion or you can just listen and take what you need. If at any point you wish to leave, there is no obligation to stay. This session is an opportunity for you to explore the things that are important to you in a judgement-free environment in the hopes that it will help you navigate your mental wellbeing better.

Her health promotion and mental health advocacy work has been recognized globally but believes that the power to reduce stigma and increase help-seeking behaviour lies with each and every one of us.
